Marvel Comics announces Spider-Man crossover event ‘Crisis of Faith’

Marvel Comics has announced a new crossover event titled ‘Crisis of Faith,’ scheduled to release in April 2027. The storyline will feature Peter Parker and Miles Morales on opposing sides, marking a significant shift in their relationship, which has been defined by mutual support since they first met in 2012.

The event is being written by Joe Kelly, writer of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man,’ and Bryan Edward Hill, writer of ‘Miles Morales: Spider-Man.’ According to editor Nick Lowe, the conflict stems from Peter Parker making increasingly risky choices following an encounter with Hellgate, as well as Miles Morales associating with questionable company that Peter disapproves of.

Unveiled during the ‘Marvel Comics: The Spider-Web’ panel at New York Comic Con, the announcement is part of a broader slate of Spider-Man related titles, including solo series for Spider-Punk and Spider-Man: Noir, and a new anthology titled ‘Marvel SFX: Thwip.’
