Marvel and Star Wars to launch official crossover miniseries

Marvel Comics has revealed previews for ‘Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles’, an official crossover miniseries scheduled for release in January 2027. The project coincides with the 50th anniversary of ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’.

Written by Kevin Smith and illustrated by David Marquez, the series utilizes a reality-altering spell to place the events of the original 1977 film within the Marvel Earth-616 continuity. The narrative features Marvel heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, and the Human Torch, intervening in iconic sequences such as the boarding of the Tantive IV.

Promotional art has highlighted unique character intersections, including a cover depicting Darth Vader wielding the Infinity Gauntlet. The series is expected to integrate these events into the broader Marvel Universe continuity following its conclusion.
