Marvel Comics announces X-Men ’92: Incursions crossover

Marvel Comics has revealed variant covers for “X-Men ’92: Incursions #1,” a one-shot comic scheduled for release in January 2027. The issue will feature a crossover between the characters from the 1990s X-Men animated series and the younger mutants from the early 2000s series, “X-Men: Evolution.”

Part of the “Time Runs Out” storyline and serving as a prelude to “Secret Wars,” the issue explores a conflict where two different Marvel realities collide. The narrative focuses on whether the 1990s X-Men can save their own universe without destroying the world inhabited by their younger counterparts.

The project will be written by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle, the creative duo behind several “X-Men: Evolution” episodes. Artwork will be provided by Salva Espin, with variant covers featuring work by “X-Men: Evolution” director Steve E. Gordon and the artistic team Gurihiru.
