Marvel Comics reveals first look at Avengers #1

Marvel Comics has released a first look at Avengers #1, a new ongoing series written by Chip Zdarsky and illustrated by Marco Checchetto. The series is set to launch this November, following the events of the limited series Avengers: Armageddon.

The story takes place in a transformed Marvel Universe where the Avengers had previously disbanded following a battle with Red Hulk. The new lineup includes Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Wolverine, Luke Cage, and a new hero potentially identified as David Colton. This team must protect a world that is increasingly distrustful of them.

In addition to a lettered preview, Marvel unveiled several variant covers, including work by Adi Granov and a special Marvel Studios variant celebrating Avengers: Doomsday. The launch will also feature True Believers Blind Bags, which contain exclusive variant covers and rare hand-drawn sketches from various contributing artists.
