Marvel Studios develops Nova film and mystery Disney+ series

Marvel Studios is advancing several upcoming projects within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Screenwriter Michael Waldron, known for his work on ‘Loki’, is developing a Nova feature film centered on the character Richard Rider. Waldron indicated that the film will likely need to address the destruction of the Nova Corps, an event established during ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.

Separately, reports suggest Marvel is developing a new live-action Disney+ series under the codename ‘Slumber Party’ via a production entity called Veil Productions. While unconfirmed, speculation suggests the project may focus on either the Young Avengers or the New Mutants.

In casting news, actor Garrett Wareing has expressed a strong interest in playing the character Iceman in future MCU mutant-related projects.
