Marvel fans speculate on potential retcon of Spider-Man storyline

Recent developments in Chip Zdarsky’s Captain America comics have led fans to speculate that Marvel may be undoing the controversial ‘One More Day’ storyline. In the new issues, Doctor Doom nullifies contracts made with the demon Mephisto.

This has sparked discussion regarding Peter Parker’s infamous 2007 deal, in which he traded his marriage to Mary Jane Watson to Mephisto to save Aunt May’s life. While the move by Doctor Doom could technically void Mephisto’s supernatural bargains, it remains unclear if this will officially impact the main Spider-Man comic series or reverse the continuity changes established during the ‘Brand New Day’ era.
