Marvel Studios releases Avengers: Doomsday teaser during MLB World Series

Marvel Studios debuted a new teaser for “Avengers: Doomsday” during Game 1 of the 2026 MLB World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers. The promotional spot features a crossover aesthetic, blending footage from the film with Major League Baseball players reacting to the events. The teaser is set on Earth-828 at a retro ballpark, featuring Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) throwing a ceremonial first pitch.

New footage includes glimpses of various characters such as Thor, Steve Rogers, Scott Lang, and the villainous Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. The film, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is part of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and follows the collapse of the multiverse. The plot involves heroes from three different universes—including the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men—uniting to face Victor von Doom, the monarch of Latveria.

While the teaser has generated significant discussion, fan reactions have been mixed, with some critics expressing disappointment that the clip functioned more as a sports tie-in than a traditional full-length trailer. “Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled for a theatrical release in mid-December 2026.
