Marvel releases new Avengers: Doomsday footage and response ad

Marvel Studios has released new TV spots and a response advertisement for the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday. The footage features several key Marvel Cinematic Universe characters, including Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), and John Walker (Wyatt Russell).

One promotional clip sparked online debate regarding a scene where Ant-Man refers to Steve Rogers as “Cap,” despite Sam Wilson currently holding the Captain America title. In response, Marvel released a 30-second ad providing further context to the exchange, which includes John Walker interjecting and Ant-Man collectively referring to the group as “Captains America.”

The new footage also showcases the return of the Bifrost energy effect and highlights interactions between Thor and Steve Rogers, including scenes involving the hammer Mjolnir. While the trailers emphasize character banter and team dynamics, the film's primary antagonist, Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., remains largely absent from the latest teasers.
