Marvel resets MCU with 'Avengers: Doomsday' and launches Doctor Doom coffee pop‑up

Marvel Studios opened a Doctor Doom‑themed pop‑up coffee shop in Shoreditch, London ahead of its upcoming film ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. The temporary venue, renamed Dom Latveria Coffee, offers menu items that reference Doom’s comic‑book lore, such as the “Fortunov” espresso and “Zefiro” flat white, and displays slogans like “The Official Coffee of World Domination”.

At the same event, the Russo brothers announced that the film will serve as a radical reset for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, returning the franchise to a new “Phase 0”. Joe Russo said, “This is a start from zero,” indicating the intention to launch fresh storylines without relying on previous films. The movie, scheduled for release on 18 December 2026, features Robert Downey Jr. as the villain Doctor Doom and aims to balance a large ensemble cast while re‑energising the series.

The dual promotional effort combines immersive fan experience with a clear narrative shift, signaling Marvel’s strategy to both engage its core audience and reposition the MCU for future phases.
