Marvel reveals revamped X‑Men Sentinels for upcoming Avengers: Doomsday at SDCC

At the 2026 San Diego Comic‑Con, Marvel unveiled a new design for the X‑Men’s Sentinel robots that will appear in the forthcoming film *Avengers: Doomsday*. The display featured a decapitated Sentinel head with exposed wiring, emphasizing a more mechanical and militaristic look that closely matches the comic‑book appearance, contrasting with earlier live‑action versions.

The third official trailer shows the Sentinels confronting the Avengers, X‑Men and Fantastic Four, with Cyclops (James Marsden) firing his optic blast at the machines. The film, directed by the Russo brothers, will bring together legacy cast members such as Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen alongside newer faces like Florence Pugh and Channing Tatum. *Avengers: Doomsday* is scheduled for theatrical release on 18 December 2026, followed by *Secret Wars* on 17 December 2027.
