Marvel Rivals introduces Cyclops hero and 18v18 Bounty Annihilation mode

Marvel Rivals' Season 8.5, titled "Sins of Alchemax," launches on June 12. The update adds Cyclops, the X‑Men leader, as a Duelist character whose optic beams can ricochet, grant high mobility and combine with Wolverine for a unique team‑up ability. A new 18v18 competitive mode called Bounty Annihilation (also referenced as Bounty Hunt) debuts on the K’un‑Lun: Shenloong Arena map and ties into the ongoing Heavenly Cities tournament storyline.

The season also brings summer‑themed content: swimsuit skins, a Hellfire Bay Beach social hub, and a Summer Festival that rewards up to 2,500 Units for daily logins. Marvel Rivals introduces a third‑party tournament framework for community organizers. Development timelines shift, with Phase 2 of the Doomsday event moved to late July and Phase 3 to mid‑October. The game remains available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles and PC via Steam.
