Marvel Sets December 2026 Release for 'Avengers: Doomsday' and Hints at Fan Reaction
Marvel Studios announced that the crossover film "Avengers: Doomsday" will open in cinemas on 18 December 2026. Directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, the movie will unite the New Avengers, the Fantastic Four, Wakandan heroes and characters linked to the X‑Men as the studio wraps up its multiverse saga.
In an interview with TheMovieReport, Marvel President Kevin Feige said audiences will be "incredibly satisfied" with the film’s conclusion and warned that waiting a year for the next project, "Secret Wars," will be difficult. He suggested the finale will be so impactful that fans may struggle to wait for the sequel.
The announcement follows a series of Marvel releases that have explored time travel, alternate realities and the multiverse, including "Loki," "Spider‑Man: No Way Home" and "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness."
