Marvel Studios announces details for VisionQuest series

Marvel Studios is developing the upcoming series ‘VisionQuest’, which serves as a conclusion to the narrative arc initiated in ‘WandaVision’. The series is expected to explore themes of fatherhood and identity, following the white version of Vision.

James Spader is confirmed to return as Ultron. In a narrative shift, Ultron will not appear solely as a metallic villain but will inhabit a more complex, human-like avatar. According to actor Paul Bettany, the series reveals that after Vision destroyed Ultron’s physical body, Ultron was uploaded into Vision’s mind. This setup positions Ultron as a mentor figure residing within a ‘fantastic prison loft’ in Vision’s mindspace, where he provides advice to the protagonist.

The series is anticipated to have a psychological thriller and existential sci-fi tone, focusing on Vision’s search for humanity and his interactions with various AI personalities within his mind.
