Marvel Studios announces Ghost Rider and Black Panther 3 projects

Marvel Studios has announced major updates regarding its upcoming film slate, specifically focusing on Ghost Rider and Black Panther 3, both slated for release in 2028.

Ryan Gosling is set to star as Johnny Blaze in the new Ghost Rider film, succeeding Nicolas Cage. The project will be directed by Shawn Levy with a screenplay by Jonathan Tropper. Reports suggest Sacha Baron Cohen may portray the villain Mephisto, though other supernatural characters like Lilith or Blackheart could potentially appear to expand the MCU's supernatural storylines.

Additionally, director Ryan Coogler has confirmed development on Black Panther 3. British actor David Jonsson is slated to play the son of T’Challa, taking on the mantle of the new Black Panther. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 15, 2028.
