Marvel Studios announces X-Men reboot cast and 2028 release date

Marvel Studios has announced the cast and release date for its upcoming X-Men reboot, which is scheduled to open on May 5, 2028. During the D23 Expo, Kevin Feige described the film as ‘Jean Grey’s story.’

Adam Driver will portray the villain Mister Sinister (also known as Nathaniel Milbury or Nathaniel Essex). The cast includes Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Storm. Additionally, Asa Germann, known for ‘Gen V’, has joined the cast as Angel (Warren Worthington III) after previously auditioning for the role of Cyclops.

The casting choices align with comic book storylines where Mister Sinister is a geneticist obsessed with the DNA of Cyclops and Jean Grey.
