Marvel Studios appoints Amit Cohen and Ron Leshem to lead Zodiac series

Marvel Studios has selected Amit Cohen and Ron Leshem as the head writers for its upcoming espionage spy thriller series, Zodiac. The project follows Marvel’s recent foray into the spy genre with the 2024 release of Secret Invasion.

Leshem is known for creating the original Israeli drama Euphoria and serving as an executive producer on the HBO adaptation. Together with Cohen, the duo has worked on international thrillers such as Traitor and Hulu’s No Man’s Land. Their background in political and geopolitical drama may steer the series toward a spy thriller identity rather than a traditional superhero adventure.

While specific plot details remain guarded, early reports suggest the story follows agents pursuing individuals with special abilities across global locations. Fans have noted that the series logo may contain references to the S.H.I.E.L.D. intelligence agency. Production is expected to begin in 2027, with a tentative premiere on Disney+ scheduled for 2028.
