Marvel Studios confirms Dec 2026 release of Avengers: Doomsday and Endgame re‑release

Disney's Marvel Studios reaffirmed that the crossover event film Avengers: Doomsday will open worldwide on 18 December 2026, with no schedule change despite its massive scope. The studio also unveiled a new premium‑format certification, Infinity Vision, which will debut with the Doomsday release and a special re‑release of Avengers: Endgame titled Endgame Encore on 25 September. The re‑release will include a custom introduction, added footage that ties into the upcoming Doomsday story, and a post‑credit scene shown exclusively in Infinity Vision and IMAX screenings. Marketing artwork seen at CineEurope in Barcelona replaced Doctor Doom with Reed Richards as the banner’s focal character, signalling an expanded role for the Fantastic Four in the MCU, though Doctor Doom remains the film’s primary antagonist. The Doomsday launch will compete directly with Warner Bros.' Dune: Part Three, slated for the same day, heightening the holiday‑season box‑office showdown.
