Marvel Studios implements DLC-style movie re-releases
Marvel Studios is adopting a strategy for theatrical re-releases that mirrors video game downloadable content (DLC) by adding new footage to existing films. Following the successful re-release of ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’, which featured between two and six minutes of additional footage depending on the screen format, Sony is planning a similar approach for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’.
In a separate look at the production of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, actor Chris Pratt shared difficulties regarding his costume in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise. Pratt noted that the Star-Lord helmet is physically uncomfortable, stating that it must be bolted onto his head, which restricts breathing, vision, and makes hearing directorial instructions difficult due to audio feedback.
