Marvel Studios introduces AI Avengers team in VisionQuest

Marvel Studios showrunner Terry Matalas has confirmed that the upcoming Disney+ series ‘VisionQuest’ will introduce a new ‘AI Avengers’ team. These characters, which are artificial intelligences previously connected to Tony Stark, will appear within Vision’s Mindspace to assist him in his journey of identity and humanity.

The AI team includes EDITH, FRIDAY, JARVIS, Dum-E, and U. Matalas noted that these characters represent different aspects of the human experience, such as social interaction or security, helping Vision navigate his internal world. The series also features the return of Ultron, who is described as a ‘bad father’ figure to Vision, residing within the Mindspace.

‘VisionQuest’ is scheduled to premiere on October 14, 2026, consisting of eight episodes. Paul Bettany will reprise his role as Vision, and James Spader will return to voice Ultron. The production has clarified that no generative AI was used in the creation of the series.
