Marvel Studios launches podcast to countdown to Avengers: Doomsday

Marvel Studios has launched the ‘Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday Official Podcast’ to prepare audiences for the upcoming film. Hosted by actress Iman Vellani and presenter Frank Alvarez, the podcast will feature five episodes, each revisiting a key film from the Infinity Saga to explore character arcs and themes relevant to the new installment.

The podcast is available via video on Disney+ and YouTube, as well as on various audio platforms. The first episode focuses on the 2012 film ‘The Avengers’, with subsequent episodes scheduled to cover ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and other foundational MCU titles.

During the launch, Vellani expressed her theory that the character Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, will play a significant role in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. She noted his evolution into the ‘God of Stories’ at the end of the ‘Loki’ series and suggested his arc could be a central element of the upcoming story.
