Marvel Studios nears completion of X-Men reboot cast

Marvel Studios is reportedly nearing the final stages of casting for its upcoming X-Men reboot, a project intended to launch the franchise’s Mutant Saga. The film is currently scheduled for theatrical release on May 5, 2028.

Filmmaker Jake Schreier is set to direct the project, working from a script originally written by Michael Lesslie and subsequently polished by Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo. Previous announcements have confirmed Kit Connor will portray Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Christopher Abbott will play Professor Charles Xavier.

While specific names for the remaining ensemble members have not been disclosed, industry reports suggest that talent negotiations are reaching their conclusion as the studio prepares for physical production.
