Marvel's VisionQuest explores identity and Ultron's evolution

The new Marvel Studios series 'VisionQuest', a spin-off of 'WandaVision', is now streaming on Disney+. The show follows the synthezoid Vision, played by Paul Bettany, as he navigates his existence and attempts to understand his identity and emotions following the events of the previous series.

James Spader returns as Ultron, who now appears in a more human-like form within Vision's mind space alongside other artificial intelligences. Showrunner Terry Matalas and Spader have noted that this version of Ultron possesses a more nuanced sense of humanity compared to his previous iterations. The series also features Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff, who reunites with his father.

While the series has sparked various fan theories regarding the character Billy Maximoff, creator Terry Matalas has clarified that recent theories involving Billy as a mysterious character known as 'the Client' or appearing in background footage are incorrect. The narrative focuses more on Vision's internal journey and his relationship with his newfound reality.
