Asa Germann cast as Angel in Marvel Studios X-Men reboot

Asa Germann, known for his role in the series ‘Gen V’, has reportedly been cast as Warren Worthington III, also known as Angel, in the upcoming Marvel Studios X-Men reboot. Reports from The Hollywood Reporter and other outlets indicate that Germann originally auditioned for the role of Cyclops, which was ultimately given to Kit Connor. However, Marvel was reportedly so impressed with his performance that they offered him the role of the winged mutant instead.

The film, which is set to be directed by Jake Schreier, is expected to feature a young ensemble cast. Confirmed or reported members include Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Storm. Adam Driver is also set to appear as the antagonist, Mister Sinister.

The project marks a new beginning for the X-Men within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Production is expected to begin early next year, with a theatrical release scheduled for May 5, 2028.
