Marvel Studios Schedules X-Men Reboot After Avengers: Secret Wars

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced at the Shanghai Expo that the MCU's X‑Men reboot, directed by Jake Schreier, will follow the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars. The Multiverse Saga is set to conclude in December 2027, with the X‑Men film expected to debut in 2028, possibly in the early May release window. Feige emphasized his long‑standing connection to the X‑Men franchise and described the new movie as the start of a "Mutant Saga" featuring a younger cast. The announcement was part of a broader slate that also includes titles such as Avengers: Doomsday, Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, and Black Panther 3.

The film will mark Marvel’s first full‑scale introduction of mutants into the MCU, allowing the studio to reinvent the team without legacy constraints from the previous Fox productions.
