Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Open Beta Begins with Blade, Episode Mode

Arc System Works announced that the open beta for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls will run from 24 July 04:00 to 27 July 03:59 UTC‑3. The 72‑hour test is free and open to players on PlayStation 5, Steam and the Epic Games Store without a PlayStation Plus subscription, though an internet connection and a PlayStation account are required. Participants can pre‑download the game two hours before launch and will experience the 4‑v‑4 team combat format, featuring 15 of the initial 20 characters, including the debut of the vampire hunter Blade.

The beta includes six iconic stages such as Wild Earth and X‑Mansion, and offers casual, ranked online and local Versus modes. New to this phase is a preview of the Episode Mode, letting players try the first three chapters of the Guardians’ campaign, where Spider‑Man leads the team against a terrestrial threat. The game also adds full Portuguese localisation for voices and text.

Earlier leaks showed two unidentified characters in Episode Mode footage, suggesting additional unlockable fighters may appear after the beta, though they were not confirmed for the open test.
