Marvel to Release Indiana Jones “Sword of Pandemonium” Comic Series in December 2026
Marvel Comics announced at San Diego Comic‑Con a five‑issue limited series titled **Indiana Jones and the Sword of Pandemonium**. The miniseries will debut on 9 December 2026 and is set directly after the 1981 film *Raiders of the Lost Ark*. It is written by **Jason Aaron** and illustrated by **Aaron Kuder**, with cover art from creators such as Bryan Hitch and Alex Ross.
The story follows Indiana Jones as his classic adversaries pursue a new source of power that has fallen into the hands of **Marion Ravenwood**. The quest centers on a biblical weapon called the Sword of Pandemonium, testing Indy’s archaeological skills and his skepticism toward the supernatural. This marks Marvel’s first Indiana Jones comic since the 1980s, reviving the character after its long run with Dark Horse. In September 2026 Marvel will also re‑print earlier 1980s Indiana Jones comics in two hardcover collections.
