Marvell Technology and MARA Holdings see growth driven by AI and crypto trends

Marvell Technology has seen significant stock growth, rising nearly 229% over the past year due to high demand for custom artificial intelligence (AI) processors and networking components. The company serves key hyperscale customers, including Google, which recently entered a six-year, $120 billion contract with Marvell. This agreement is estimated to potentially add $18 billion annually to Marvell's revenue.

Marvell also provides components for Amazon's AI data centers and is expected to begin shipping custom processors to Microsoft starting in 2027. Analysts suggest the total addressable market for custom AI chips and networking components could reach $300 billion by 2030.

Separately, MARA Holdings shares saw a 2.6% increase, driven by positive sentiment in the cryptocurrency sector. Bitcoin's movement above $85,000 and strong inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have bolstered interest in Bitcoin-mining companies. While MARA is benefiting from Bitcoin's advance and its own AI data-center expansion plans, recent insider selling by its CEO and large-scale sales from ARK Invest have introduced some market caution.
