Marvel's Avengers: Doomsday Generates Stronger Public Interest as DC Skips SDCC Hall H

Disney announced that its upcoming film "Avengers: Doomsday" will open on December 18 with its new premium format, Infinity Vision, and began ticket sales five months ahead of release. Early data showed the ticket announcement generated more than twice the Google Search interest compared with the trailer for Warner Bros.' "Dune: Part Three," which shares the same release weekend.

Meanwhile, DC Studios co‑CEO James Gunn confirmed that the DCU will not present any panels or updates in Hall H at San Diego Comic‑Con, citing the high cost of a major convention presence. The decision leaves Marvel to dominate the high‑profile Hall H stage with announcements for its own slate, including "Avengers: Doomsday" and other projects. The contrast highlights Marvel's continued market momentum and DC's more cautious promotional approach.
