Marvel's Spider‑Man: Brand New Day set for 2026 Japanese release

The live‑action film "Spider‑Man: Brand New Day," starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, is scheduled to open in Japan on July 31, 2026. The movie continues the story after "No Way Home," depicting a solitary Parker protecting New York while confronting a mysterious new foe and grappling with personal loss.

Alongside the film, Sony Pictures announced the CGI‑animated sequel "Spider‑Man: Beyond the Spider‑Verse," slated for June 18, 2027, featuring Miles Morales. In Japan, Shogakukan‑Shueisha Production will end its publishing partnership with Marvel Comics on March 31, 2026, and all digital Marvel comic titles will be withdrawn from e‑book stores by September 30, 2026. The announcement also highlights the inclusion of the classic Toei Spider‑Man in upcoming Marvel comic crossovers.
