Marvel's The Punisher: One Last Kill adds Barracuda villain; Jon Bernthal demands creative control

The Disney+ special presentation *The Punisher: One Last Kill* introduces the comic‑book antagonist Barracuda, portrayed by Jamal Lloyd Johnson, as a new, physically imposing foe for Frank Castle. The storyline, set in the MCU's Phase Six, follows Castle after the events of *Daredevil: Born Again* and serves as a narrative bridge to his upcoming appearance in *Spider‑Man: Brand New Day*.

Actor Jon Bernthal, who reprises Frank Castle, said he will only return if he is involved in the production and writing. He co‑wrote the script and served as executive producer on the 50‑minute special, which debuted on 12 May 2026 and received generally positive reviews for its dark tone and Bernhard’s performance.
