Marvel video games: Rivals updates and Project Comet leaks

NetEase Games and Marvel Games have announced Season 10.5 for the hero shooter Marvel Rivals, launching October 9. The update introduces the ‘Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Infinity War’ mode, a 2v2 PvP experience featuring 12 players, random drafting, and Infinity Stone abilities. This will be followed on October 22 by the ‘Avengers: Endgame’ mode, a massive 50-player PvE experience set in the ruins of the Avengers Compound.

Separately, a leaked gameplay trailer on Bilibili has provided a first look at an unannounced Marvel title known as ‘Project Comet.’ Developed by Scopely, the game is described as a free-to-play, open-world action RPG for mobile and PC, drawing comparisons to Genshin Impact. The leaked footage features characters such as Spider-Man, Wolverine, Doctor Strange, and Black Widow in both single-player and four-player cooperative combat scenarios.
