Marvel’s Wolverine pre-load begins ahead of PlayStation 5 release

Marvel’s Wolverine, developed by Insomniac Games, is approaching its release on PlayStation 5. Pre-loading for digital pre-orders reportedly began on September 8, 2026, allowing players to download the game one week ahead of its official launch on September 15.

Data from the PlayStation Network indicates the game requires significant storage space. While initial reports suggested a file size of approximately 79.36 GB, newer versions tracked in the backend show the size has increased to roughly 81.42 GB. This is notably more optimized than Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which launched at 98 GB.

Ahead of the launch, the title has faced challenges regarding online leaks, with sensitive plot details and gameplay footage appearing on social media. Unlike the open-world approach of previous Insomniac titles, Wolverine is expected to feature a more linear, level-based action experience.
