Marvel's Wolverine game adds extensive accessibility and difficulty customization for PS5

Insomniac Games announced a comprehensive set of accessibility and difficulty options for the upcoming PS5 exclusive Marvel’s Wolverine, scheduled for release on 15 September 2026. Players will be able to fine‑tune individual gameplay elements such as enemy detection, health, damage output, combat and stealth speed, parry windows, and puzzle sections. Additional controls let users adjust overall game speed to 100 %, 70 %, 50 % or 30 %, skip Quick‑Time Events, and disable or tone down graphic violence, including blood splatter and dismemberment.

The system replaces traditional preset difficulty levels with a modular “mix‑and‑match” approach, aiming to accommodate gamers with motor, visual, or cognitive challenges as well as those who prefer a more relaxed experience. The features were detailed in a recent State of Play showcase and represent one of the most flexible accessibility implementations seen in a mainstream console title.
