Marvel's Wolverine game omits X‑Men, launches September 15 on PS5

Insomniac Games revealed at the State of Play showcase that its upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive, Marvel’s Wolverine, will be released on 15 September. The game presents a darker, original storyline in which the X‑Men do not exist; mutants live hidden and are hunted by cyber‑enhanced mercenaries known as the Reapers (Cosechadores) and industrialist Bolivar Trask.

Logan teams up with telepath Jean Grey as they attempt to rescue captured mutants. The gameplay emphasizes brutal, fast‑paced combat with a fury meter that powers devastating attacks. Two editions will be sold, the standard version at €79.99 and a Digital Deluxe edition at €89.99 that adds extra costumes and technique points.
