Marvin Fischer debuts as host of ZDF's 'hallo deutschland

German public broadcaster ZDF announced that Marvin Fischer will serve as the eleventh moderator of the weekday news‑magazine "hallo deutschland". The programme airs Monday to Friday from 17:10 to 18:00 and Fischer will alternate with Sandra Maria Gronewald.

Fischer, previously known for six years as presenter of the Hessischer Rundfunk's TV boulevard show "Maintower" and for his work on the radio station You FM, will begin his ZDF stint on 6 July and continue through 10 July. He is scheduled to return from 20 July for an additional three‑week period. "hallo deutschland", on air since 1997, focuses on current topics that are close to everyday life.

The broadcaster highlighted Fischer’s experience in both television and radio as a reason for the personnel change, noting that he will maintain his radio duties while taking on the new TV role.
