Marvin Loría signs with Indonesia's PSIM Yogyakarta
Costa Rican winger Marvin Loría, 29, has left Deportivo Saprissa after a brief spell with its affiliate Tibás and signed a one‑year contract – with an option to extend – with PSIM Yogyakarta, a club in Indonesia’s top division. The move makes Loría a legionnaire again, this time heading to the island of Java where he will need to adapt to a new culture and a team that has recently increased its investment in foreign players. PSIM Yogyakarta, founded in 1929 and based in Yogyakarta, will field Loría in the upcoming 2026‑2027 season.
The transfer was announced by journalist Juan Ulloa ahead of a Saprissa match, confirming that Loría completed his travel to Indonesia within 36 hours of departing Costa Rica.
