Mary Cosby discusses returning to filming after her son's death

Mary Cosby, star of Bravo’s ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’, has shared details regarding the death of her son, Robert Cosby Jr., who passed away at age 23 on February 23.

Following the tragedy, NBC Universal executive Noah Samton offered Cosby an extended break, including a year off, to ensure she would not lose her position on the show. Cosby ultimately declined the offer, stating that she wanted to use work as a constructive distraction to keep her mind focused on something positive during her grieving process.

Cosby reflected on how the loss has changed her, noting that while she experienced shock, she still feels her son’s presence. She described the experience as a period of being ‘thankful but hurt,’ mentioning that her son had struggled with addiction. Production of the series had been temporarily halted immediately following the death to allow Cosby privacy.
