Robert Cosby Jr. passed away in February at the age of 23 following a suspected overdose in Utah. Salt Lake City police responded to the scene, where authorities found him unconscious. Cosby and her husband, Robert Sr., previously released a statement expressing their faith and gratitude for prayers during their period of mourning.

Marks noted that while the show provided a focus during a difficult time, the nature of reality television requires participants to relive traumatic events when the episodes eventually air. Fellow reality star Alexia Nepola added that the public reaction and social media commentary following the broadcast can also present significant emotional challenges.
