Mary Earps Joins London City Lionesses on Free Transfer
Former Manchester United and Paris Saint‑Germain goalkeeper Mary Earps has signed a two‑year contract with the London City Lionesses, joining the club on a free transfer after her PSG contract expires on 30 June. The 33‑year‑old, who made 125 appearances for United and earned 53 caps for England before retiring from international play in May 2025, said the club’s values and ambition align with hers and expressed enthusiasm about the new training facility and owner Michele Kang’s vision. Earps hopes to help the Lionesses improve on their sixth‑place finish in the Women's Super League and aims to be competitive in a short period. Her career accolades include the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Golden Glove, two Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper awards (2022, 2023), and the 2023 BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
