Mary Kom criticizes 2014 biopic for inaccurate portrayal

Olympic medalist Mary Kom has expressed disappointment regarding her 2014 biographical film, stating that the movie failed to accurately represent the scale of her personal and professional hardships. She remarked that the film captured only about 10 percent of her actual struggles and hard work, suggesting that the cinematic depiction included fictionalized elements that diverged from her reality.

Following her recent departure from the reality television show Bigg Boss, the boxer dismissed any possibility of a film sequel. She recommended that those interested in her true life story consult her autobiography, ‘Unbreakable’, rather than the film. Kom also addressed her time on Bigg Boss, asserting that her seven-week appearance allowed viewers to see her authentic personality rather than a manufactured persona.
