Mary Kom criticizes Priyanka Chopra biopic accuracy

Indian boxer Mary Kom has expressed dissatisfaction with the 2014 biopic 'Mary Kom', starring Priyanka Chopra. In an interview with Screen, the champion stated that the film did not accurately represent her life, claiming it only depicted approximately 10 percent of her actual struggles and hard work.

Kom suggested that those seeking a true account of her journey should read her autobiography, 'Unbreakable: An Autobiography'. The film, directed by Omung Kumar, follows her path to the 2008 World Boxing Championship in Ningbo, but the athlete feels the cinematic portrayal fell short of her reality.
