Mary Trump, a psychologist and niece of Donald Trump, has issued sharp criticisms regarding the president's behavior and his inner circle. She characterized his actions as narcissistic and suggested that his administration is failing to provide him with honest feedback.

Trump reportedly issued an executive order to rename Lake Ontario to ‘Lake America,’ citing that much of its volume and its deepest parts are located within United States territory. The order directs the Department of the Interior to update the Geographic Names Information System accordingly. Trump suggested this follows a pattern of renaming, such as the ‘Gulf of America.’

Additionally, Mary Trump addressed the role of aide Natalie Harp, alleging that Harp acts as a shield to protect the president’s ego by providing him with positive or fictional press clippings. Mary Trump described this dynamic as a potential national security threat, arguing that the president's reliance on an assistant to filter reality is an extreme arrangement for a leader.
