Maryland $2.2 Million Fast Play Jackpot and Maine $50 Thousand Powerball Win Spotlight US Lottery Wins

The Maryland Lottery sold an Ultimate Payday Fast Play ticket worth $2,205,023 at an Exxon station in Catonsville on July 29. The ticket remained unclaimed as of Aug 3. In the same week the state also saw two $1 million Powerball tickets sold in Odenton and College Park, both also unclaimed, while players collected more than $28.8 million in prizes statewide during the week of July 27‑Aug 2.

In Maine, a Powerball ticket purchased at the Wells Super Food Market in Wells matched four of the five white balls plus the Powerball, earning a $50,000 prize. The draw produced no jackpot winner. A similar $50,000 ticket was sold in New Hampshire, and recent large wins elsewhere included a $2 million ticket in Virginia and $1 million tickets in California, Maryland and Texas.
