Maryland athletics reports various seasonal results

Maryland University athletic programs concluded several seasonal campaigns with mixed results. In football, the Terps suffered a 20-17 loss to Illinois at SECU Stadium. Despite leading 14-10 entering the fourth quarter, Maryland allowed a 64-yard touchdown run by Javari Barnett and a late 26-yard field goal, marking a recurring struggle with fourth-quarter performance.

In men’s soccer, the No. 11 Maryland team fell 2-1 to No. 7 Washington. Despite outshooting the Huskies 10-5, the Terps could not overcome goals from Zach Ramsey and Jake Goetting.

Field hockey saw significant success, with the No. 2 Maryland women’s team dominating No. 8 Iowa 5-1 to finish the regular season with a 16-1 record. Meanwhile, the women’s soccer team ended their season with a 3-2 victory over Rutgers, fueled by two goals from Jolie Farmer.

In field hockey, Salisbury University’s No. 10 team defeated The College of New Jersey 4-2 to close their regular-season schedule.
