Maryland football seeks new head coach following Mike Locksley firing

The Maryland Terrapins football program has officially moved on from head coach Mike Locksley following his dismissal, marking the first coaching firing of the season.

Potential candidates for the vacancy include various rising coaches and veterans looking for a comeback. Analysts have suggested Charles Huff Jr., currently the Memphis head coach and a Maryland native, as a realistic option due to his recruiting background and recent success. Other discussions regarding the coaching search involve evaluating up-and-coming leaders who can provide a fresh philosophy for the program.
