Maryland football suffers 54-3 blowout loss to UCLA

The Maryland Terrapins football team suffered a significant 54-3 loss to UCLA in their conference opener at SECU Stadium. The defeat follows a period of struggle for the program, including a 10-game losing streak against Power 4 opponents.

During the game, the Maryland offense struggled to produce, managing only three points, while the defense surrendered 266 rushing yards. Quarterback Malik Washington threw four interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns. The loss has intensified scrutiny of head coach Mike Locksley, as the student section engaged in “Fire Locksley” chants during the contest.
