Maryland Park School expansion completed with $13M investment
The Manitoba government has completed a $13 million expansion of Maryland Park School in Brandon to accommodate rising enrollment. The project, which was finished in time for the start of the school year, adds more than 17,000 square feet of educational space.
The two-storey addition increases the school’s capacity from approximately 550 students to 900. The new facilities include 14 classrooms, a new science room, and various student support spaces. Education Minister Tracy Schmidt attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside Brandon East MLA Glen Simard to officially open the expansion, noting that the investment aims to meet the needs of the growing community.
