Maryland Terrapins football prepares for 2026 season

The Maryland Terrapins football program is preparing for the 2026 season following two consecutive seasons with four wins. Head coach Mike Locksley has noted high intensity during fall camp, specifically highlighting improvements in depth on the offensive and defensive lines as well as a strong run game.

The team returns 71% of its production, the highest mark in the Big Ten. However, the wide receiver unit faces significant changes after losing key veterans. With only 37.8% of receiving production returning, the team is looking to new talent. A competition is underway between transfer additions Na’eem Abdul-Rahim Gladding from Old Dominion and Chris Durr Jr. from Wyoming to establish a primary target for quarterback Malik Washington.
