Maryland volleyball defeats Campbell in straight sets

Maryland volleyball defeated Campbell University 3-0 in their opening match of the No Quarter Invitational. The victory moves Maryland to an 8-1 record, while Campbell falls to 3-6.

Maryland secured the first set 25-20, driven by a .382 hitting percentage and 36 assists from Sara Toth. Campbell’s Victoria Tupy contributed seven kills in the opening frame. In the second set, Maryland pulled ahead to win 25-14, despite scoring efforts from Emma McCartney. Although Campbell improved their defensive play in the third set, Maryland ultimately won the frame 25-21 to complete the straight-sets victory.

Individual performances for Maryland included 11 kills from Sydney Bryant. For Campbell, Emma McCartney led with 16 kills, and Hannah Pattie recorded a double-double with 14 assists and 10 digs.
