Marzamemi Cinefest Unveils 2026 Program Schedule
The 7th edition of the Marzamemi Cinefest will run from 6 to 10 September 2026 in the coastal town of Marzamemi, Sicily. The festival, which celebrates Mediterranean identity, will pay tribute to record‑holding freediver and environmentalist Enzo Maiorca on the tenth anniversary of his death.
Featured guests include Aurora “Rori” Quattrocchi, winner of the David di Donatello 2026 for best actress, actors Giovanni Esposito, Marco Bonini, Elda Alvigini, Silvana Fallisi and Sebastiano Somma, former national anti‑mafia prosecutor Pietro Grasso, and internationally known makeup artist Diego Dalla Palma. The program was presented at a press conference on 4 September in the municipal hall of Pachino, followed by a pre‑festival evening at the Teatro Tina Di Lorenzo in Noto. Mayors Giuseppe Gambuzza (Pachino) and Corrado Figura (Noto), Pro Loco president Nino Campisi, artistic director Denise Spicuglia and sponsors also attended.
The official inauguration is scheduled for Sunday 6 September at 19:00 in Piazza Regina Margherita, with Denise Spicuglia presenting. The event will also showcase local food, wine and fish, highlighting the cultural and gastronomic heritage of southeastern Sicily.
